Emily Koury

President

My name is Emily Koury. I have four kiddos, three at Leman. I began this year as PTO Treasurer and when the President role opened up, I shared with the Board my desire to step into that position. It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve as President and I would love to continue for the next term. I enjoy building relationships and community and believe these are essential to leading any group. I am excited to help develop the new VP roles and build an even stronger PTO for Leman. I am thankful for the insight that the current Board members have shared over the past few months. I am also grateful for the work and commitment they have put in to get this PTO where it is. It would be a pleasure to continue to build on the foundation they have worked so hard to create. Please accept my nomination for PTO President.

Alicia Kessener

Secretary: Candidate 1

Hello! My name is Alicia Kessener. I am mom to 4 kiddos here at Leman, 3 boys and a little girl, one bernedoodle puppy, and wife to an amazing husband. My kids are in 6th, 5th, 2nd, and kindergarten. I grew up here in Littleton Colorado and all 3 of my boys were born here. We are an outdoor loving, game playing family that are so thankful to be a part of the Leman community. Previous to Leman we attended one other charter and I homeschooled for approx. 3 years. Prior to kids I worked as a chef after getting my culinary degree. I also have a degree in Biblical counseling and have worked as a catering manager and an Admin/accountant, as well as served in the counseling department of our church.

Growing up I always had a passion to help my teachers, volunteering in the front office

and often helping my youth pastor with any admin related needs. I am a type A person that is learning what it looks like, post baby/toddler years, to get back involved.  With all 4 of my kiddos in school, I find myself with plenty of time on my hands! What better way to spend that time than volunteering at their school. I have a passion to help kids learn and to come alongside teachers and staff alike, to ensure they are supported and know they are loved and valued. After spending this year volunteering and being at the school whenever I could and after lots of prayer with how to best use my kid free time, I have decided to pursue more involvement with the PTO.  I am running for PTO secretary as it is the position that I would be most comfortable in and best suited to my abilities and still allow me to spend time helping out teachers and in my kids’ classrooms. I look forward to serving our community to the best of my ability and for the glory of God. Thank you.
